Texas Rangers Heritage Center
From the rich history of Texas and the Texas Rangers comes the world-class Texas Rangers Heritage Center dedicated to Building Better Citizens of our Youth for our State, our Nation, and our World.
On twelve acres of land on the outskirts of historic Fredericksburg, Texas, the role the Texas Rangers have played in Texas legend and lore is being preserved and is becoming a living part of the present.
The Heritage Center includes our Campanile, or bell tower, standing apart as a Beacon for Learning, a Salute to Good Citizenship, and along with the Ranger Ring of Honor, a Soaring Memorial, dedicated to those who gave all in their service to the Texas Rangers and to the Citizens of Texas.
Within the 12-acre-campus you will find the covered 350-seat LoneStar Open-Air Pavilion complete with Amphitheater, Campfire Circle and a full catering kitchen. Coming soon, our main building will house the story of the history, heritage, and culture of the Texas Rangers in an immersive and engaging world-class exhibit. Of course, the Heritage Center will also be the focal and backdrop that supports our Lone Star Ranger Academy.
We welcome all Texans, national and international visitors, historians, schools and youth groups – small and large – to our new home.

OktoberFest in Fredericksburg
Held in downtown on MarketPlatz, Fredericksburg, Texas celebrates its German heritage through Oktoberfest. Oompah at its best. German music, food and drink, artisans, children’s area and family fun.
National Museum of the Pacific War

Enchanted Rock State Natural Area
Climb the ancient dome for amazing Hill Country views. The massive pink granite dome rising above Central Texas has drawn people for thousands of years. But there’s more at Enchanted Rock State Natural Area than just the dome. The scenery, rock formations, and legends are magical, too! You can hike, backpack, camp, rock climb, picnic, bird, study nature, geocache and stargaze. Explore nearly 11 miles of hiking trails. All trails close 30 minutes after sunset, except the Loop Trail. The Summit Trail may close in wet weather. Rock climbers must check-in at park headquarters. You can pick up route maps there and read the climbing rules.
